Pianist Andrew McCormack and saxophonist Jason Yarde bring a frightening array of musical resources and abilities to Places and Other Spaces, their debut for Edition Records. It’s true that they’ve both played with the great and the good of their own and of older generations. And, yes, the sheer quality and range of their work would baffle many a working musician.
